4 years of CS.
Nobody taught you this.

Your degree teaches how computers work. It does not teach how to get a stranger to use something you made. That part you learn outside class, so here it is: one free fix for each of the 5 gaps, and a 1-week plan to do all of them.

The class WhatsApp group: Sir ne kaha paper sirf slides se aayega, FYP sirf mere laptop pe chalta hai, Interview mein GitHub link maanga, bhai deploy kaise karte hain

Build with AI

In class, AI gets you a zero. At work, they want people who build faster with it and can explain every line it wrote. The skill is not hiding AI. It is using it out loud and understanding the result.

Put it online

Your FYP runs on your laptop for one demo, then dies in a folder. A recruiter can't open localhost:3000. A live link beats ten screenshots, and it is free.

Tonight: pick one old project, put it online, and send the link to 3 people.

Work as a team

FYP_final.zip, final2.zip, FINAL_v3 (2).zip, and nobody knows which one works. Git is Google Docs history, for code: everyone's changes in one place, and you can undo any of them in one click.

Tonight: put your project on GitHub. Then open one pull request on someone else's repo.

Get real users

In uni, your users are the examiner and your group partner. That's 2. Strangers tell you what friends won't: where they get stuck, what they don't understand, whether they'd come back. There is no course for this. There is a 10-minute test.

THE 5 STRANGERS TEST
THE 5 STRANGERS TEST (10 minutes each)

Before:
- Pick 5 people who are NOT your friends or group partner. Another section, a cousin, someone in the Discord.
- Write ONE task for them, e.g. "Find the 2023 Physics paper for Lahore board."

Need strangers? Post your link in the RahmanBuilds Discord. Builders test each other's projects there.

Explain it

You memorised the viva. Then the examiner asked why. In an interview, every question is a why. The fix is a README and a 2-minute explanation you have practised out loud.

The 1-week plan

One project, all five gaps, seven evenings. Use an old assignment or your FYP idea.

DAY 1Build a small tool with the build-and-learn prompt. Answer every question it asks you.
DAY 2Put it online with Netlify Drop or Vercel. Send the link to 3 people.
DAY 3Put the code on GitHub. Make 3 small commits with clear messages.
DAY 4Run the 5 strangers test. Write down every place they got stuck.
DAY 5Fix the biggest problem. Push it. Watch it go live on its own.
DAY 6Write the README with the template. Add the live link at the top.
DAY 7Record your 2-minute explanation. Post it with the link on LinkedIn and in the Discord.

The degree isn't the problem

DSA, operating systems and databases matter. You'll use them. The gap is everything after the exam, and employers say so.

78%of employers unhappy with fresh graduates
60%said skills don't match the grades
~55%cited weak commercial awareness and high salary expectations

Naqeebz Consulting, Graduate Employability: Employers Perception Survey, 200+ companies in Pakistan, May 2019, all graduates, not only CS. consultancy.asia. In October 2025 HEC revised the CS curriculum for "market-ready skills": APP.

Your CGPA gets you the interview. What you shipped gets you the job.

Who made this

Hi, I'm Rahman.

I've been building things people pay for since I was 10. Online game servers first, then $250K+ earned in tech. Now I build with AI in public, and every free thing from my reels lands on a page like this.
